Strengths & Positivity

Updated: Apr 20, 2020

-Sometimes it feels like people are attacking you and your weaknesses when you argue a lot. One way to rebuild a healthy relationship is to focus on strengths instead of weaknesses. The following activities can be done together.

-For the strengths chain, the first page includes directions. There are several pages included as ideas for strengths. You can always add your own ideas to your chain. We recommend having both the parent and the child each create a strengths chain. At the end, the two chains can be connected to show that two people working together are stronger than one.

-Sometimes people feel stuck and get in the habit of saying negative things, irritating others. We posted "Try Saying Something Else" to help come up with alternative things to say.

-Then, saying thank you, even for something small, helps people feel appreciated.

-Lastly, two Spanish worksheets identifying self and family strengths.
